Custom Jacket Return & Replacement Policy

At Dear Varsity, every jacket is crafted exclusively for you. Each piece is individually cut, stitched, and customized based on your selected design, sizing, and personalization—making it truly unique. Due to this made-to-order process, our return and replacement policy differs from standard retail apparel.

Custom & Personalized Orders

All jackets sold on our website are produced on demand and customized according to customer specifications.

For this reason, returns, cancellations, or refunds are not accepted once production has begun, except in cases where the item is defective, damaged, or significantly different from the approved design.

Please ensure all customization details are correct. If you need to request changes, contact us within 24 hours of placing your order.

Design Review & Approval

Before production starts, your order is processed using the details and visuals confirmed at checkout. By completing your purchase, you acknowledge that the submitted design and customization details serve as your final approval.

  • Design change requests must be submitted within 24 hours of purchase.

  • After 24 hours, the design is locked and production begins.

Replacements for Quality or Production Errors

We stand behind the craftsmanship of every Dear Varsity jacket. If your order arrives with a manufacturing issue or customization error, we’ll resolve it promptly.

Eligible for Free Replacement Includes:

  • Missing embroidery, patch, or embellishment

  • Incorrect color, material, or personalization details

  • Incorrect size if it differs from the approved order

  • Visible defects such as stitching issues, stains, or tears

  • Damage during transit (photo of damaged packaging required)

Depending on the situation, we will either:

  • Replace the jacket at no additional cost, or

  • Issue a partial or full refund if a replacement is not possible

How to File a Claim

To report an issue or request a replacement, email support@varsitybase.com within 7 days of delivery and include:

    • Order number

    • Brief explanation of the issue

    • Clear photos of the affected area and the full jacket

    • Photos of packaging and shipping label (if applicable)

Shipping & Returns

In most cases, returns are not required. If a return is necessary, Dear Varsity will provide return instructions. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted or refunded.

Sizing & Fit Policy

Because all jackets are custom-made, sizing errors based on customer measurements or fit preference are not eligible for refund or exchange.

However, if an incorrect size was ordered, we offer a discounted remake at 50% of the original jacket price, plus shipping.

Tip: Please review the size chart carefully before ordering. Our team is happy to assist prior to purchase.

Delivery Commitments

We strive to meet all delivery timelines. If Rush Delivery was purchased and we fail to meet the guaranteed delivery date due to a production delay on our end, we will refund the rush fee or provide a discount on your next order.

Non-Returnable Items

The following are not eligible for return, refund, or exchange:

  • Jackets produced correctly according to approved design

  • Incorrect size selected by the customer

  • Normal wear and tear after delivery

  • Minor color differences due to screen displays

  • Claims submitted after the 7-day window
